The Guangdong Provincial Government announced on the 18th that from September 14th to 18th, the Governor of Guangdong Province Zhu Xiaodan led a delegation of the Guangdong Provincial Government to Delhi, Gujarat, and Maharashtra, India for a friendly visit to implement China and India. The consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries will pragmatically promote exchanges between friendly provinces and states and deepen local cooperation between China and India.

Zhu Xiaodan met with Gujarat Chief Minister Patel, Maharashtra Chief Minister Fadnavis, and Indian Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Singh, and attended the 2015 China (Guangdong)-India (Gujarat) Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference and keynote speech.

Zhu Xiaodan said that Guangdong and Gujarat established friendly provincial-state relations under the joint witness of President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Modi. On the first anniversary of President Xi Jinping\'s visit to India, Guangdong and Gujarat signed a plan to strengthen friendly cooperation, marking the substantive start of friendly exchanges and cooperation between the two provinces.

Zhu Xiaodan said that Guangdong will work with India, Gujarat and Maharashtra to further expand the areas of cooperation and enhance the level of cooperation based on the principles of pragmatism, efficiency, mutual benefit and win-win results. In particular, we hope to join hands with the local government of India to promote the construction of the 21st century Maritime Silk Road, solidly expand cooperation in advanced manufacturing, information technology, smart city, finance, infrastructure construction and other fields, deepen cultural and tourism cooperation and non-governmental exchanges, and form a new cooperation situation of two wheel drive of bilateral trade and two-way investment and production capacity cooperation.

Patel said that since the establishment of friendly provincial-state relations between Gujarat and Guangdong, exchanges have become increasingly close and the relationship has become increasingly profound. It is hoped that through the signing of the action plan for cooperation between the governments of the two places, exchanges and cooperation with Guangdong in manufacturing, tourism, smart city construction, infrastructure construction, new energy, culture and other fields will be strengthened.

Fadnavis expressed that he hopes to take Zhu Xiaodan\'s visit to Maharashtra as an opportunity to further strengthen cooperative relations with Guangdong and jointly open a new chapter of cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade and investment.

Witnessed by Zhu Xiaodan and Patel, the two sides signed the Guangdong and Gujarat Action Plan on Strengthening Exchanges and Cooperation to promote cooperation between the two sides in industrial docking, economic and trade cooperation, cultural tourism, and personnel exchanges.

During the period, the Guangdong provincial government held a China (Guangdong)-India (Gujarat) economic and trade cooperation exchange meeting in Gujarat, and 15 cooperation projects were signed on the spot, with a contract amount of US $0.59 billion.
