The preparation methods of the metal honeycomb aluminum sheet include the expansion method, the pressure bonding forming method and the pressure brazing forming method.

(1) Unfolding method: by the printing press(or manual)Coat the core strip glue on the metal foil to form a glue strip. The glue strips of two adjacent metal foils coated with glue strips should be staggered, that is, the glue strip of the previous layer of paper is located exactly in the middle of the adjacent two glue strips of the next layer of paper. The metal foils bonded to each other in this way form a honeycomb core board. After the adhesive in it is fully cured, the honeycomb core is cut into strips of honeycomb core strips with the required height. Then the honeycomb core is stretched and expanded, and then the honeycomb core is immersed in the setting adhesive and cured to form a shaped honeycomb core.

(2) Pressure bonding forming method: first, on the waveform mold, according to the hand paste or molding process into a semi-hexagonal corrugated plate, and then use the adhesive to form a core. The honeycomb core made by pressure forming method has the correct cell size and can be made into honeycomb core of any specification. However, a large number of molds are required and the production efficiency is low, so they are rarely used.

(3) Pressure brazing forming method: Yamaguchi, Japan.1994The brazing method was developed to manufacture honeycomb cores. The manufacturing process will be cut into a certain width of the strip according to the shape of the semi-regular hexagonal corrugated processing to form a honeycomb. Then clamp the honeycomb core with the upper and lower two plates, fix it with a clamp, and use a laser spot welding machine to contact spot welding on the parallel surface.

For the metal honeycomb sandwich structure, how to connect the panel and the core is very important. At present, there are five connection methods, which are introduced as follows:

(1) Bonding method: the bonding method is the metal surface and the core with hot curing glue in a continuous forming machine heating and pressurizing composite building plate. Adhesive bonding is a connection method that people pay more attention to at present, the composite plate does not bear the external heating cycle during the connection process, but the surface pretreatment is required before the connection.

(2) Brazing: Brazing is another method of joining materials. As with other welding techniques, the connection between the materials can form a non-removable metallurgical bond. When materials are brazed and connected, they are generally assembled in the form of overlapping. A small gap is maintained between the joints. A filling material with a melting point lower than that of the base metal is selected. At a temperature lower than the melting point of the base metal and higher than the melting point of the brazing filler metal, the gap between the base metal is filled with the melting filler metal, and the brazing filler metal and the base metal are cooled and solidified into a firm joint.

(3) Seam welding method: Seam welding refers to the resistance welding method in which the weldment is assembled into a lap or butt joint and placed between two roller electrodes. The roller pressurizes the weldment and rotates, and continuously or intermittently delivers electricity to form a continuous weld.
